 Taxation Manager
Tax Planning, Advisory & Business Support

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Analyze tax strategy and Support CFO/CEO Shareholders and board of directors with info regarding tax implications & opportunities
Manage potential tax risk, plan and assess company's tax obligations in light of the enacting and upcoming tax laws
Quantify the estimated/ actual tax burden related to the periodical reporting to the Group and to be recorded in the Group Reporting System including messaging to CFO.
Identify & explore tax opportunities deriving from changes in tax law or business opportunities.
Ensure full compliance with the Group Tax Risk Policy
Drive efficiency & Cash generation – to optimise Local Market tax burden in line with tax risk strategy, provide appropriate information on Local Market's tax position and manage Local Market tax risk
Provide tax planning, advisory and business support by evaluating risk, opportunities and requirements in light of all business transactions in regard to domestic and international tax law

Tax Forecasting & Reporting

Provide info regarding estimated / actual tax rates, liabilities and assets and estimated cash flows as well as explaining variances based on tax analysis
File Group tax pack and all tax related numbers in different cycles (detailed budget, 5+7.. etc) and check actual and estimate tax amounts with the accounting system
Manage tax amounts in order to minimise tax impact according to goals set by the company and in full compliance with tax requirements
Manage tax cash flow
Provide full disclosure on tax info and variances to stakeholders

Tax Dispute & Relationships With Tax Authorities

Be the main point of contact for the tax authorities
Provide tax auditors / inspectors and authorities with appropriate information where necessary
Manage tax audits appropriately in the interests of the company and in accordance with tax laws/requirements
Manage dispute processes up to courts resolution where necessary
Take active role in Industry Taxation Committees / Associations and other lobbying bodies

Tax Compliance & Returns

Ensure integrity and timeliness of data submitted to tax authorities.
Legally responsible to review and approve the accuracy of tax returns including corporate tax, VAT, Stamp tax and WHT.
Review and approve Vodafone and subsidiaries statutory financials and documentation for tax compliance processes.
Support stakeholders with final information of tax burden and tax cash flows.

Transfer Pricing

Oversee, review and approve all related party transactions, deals, and contractual commitments.
Develop of functional and financial analyses for related party inter-relationship showing all risks, assets and benefits shared by each subsidiary.
Model potential intercompany transactions to support determination of legal and tax effective structuring that aligns with business objectives.
Perform benchmarking for purposes of evaluating the arm's length nature of transfer prices for certain intercompany transactions.
Deal with Vodafone Group and external consultants to ensure preparation of proper transfer pricing study coverinag all subsidiary and other related party transactions
Manage preparation of transfer pricing documentation as required under tax laws of the various jurisdictions in which company operates throughout the world.
Define allocation keys for any shared assets/services to ensure legal and financial correct allocations to related parties

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

Bachelor degree of Accounting
8 years experience in accounting & taxation field (working in accounting firms & multinational companies).
Professional degree in Taxation / Accountancy
Solid knowledge of Company's laws, labour and investment laws.
Solid knowledge tax laws/practice
Solid knowledge of local and international accounting principles.
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
Solid knowledge of tax laws and practice.

Qualifications:
From 3 to 6 years of experience in life actuarial, life insurance planning model or hold an actuarial certificate.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or Actuarial, Statistic study is assist

Contract Administrator
Support direct supervisors on site in daily duties and tasks.
Coordinate with the Contract Specialists and other related staff in the head office for guidance.
Perform risk analysis for the assigned project and submit reports for review.
Administer assigned contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Perform post award activities including coordinating all contract submittals and correspondence, preparation and process variation orders and claims until project close out.
Ensure documentation to negotiate Variation orders are properly produced and maintained and highlight key figures accordingly.
Prepare letters to clients requesting approvals and interpretations necessary to comply with the provisions of the contract. Review and approve letters as required.
Identify the risks and notifications in the contract and highlight them to the direct supervisor.
Follow up on problems which demand management attention
Establish and update records of all correspondence-related contract activity.
Contact the Project Manager on a daily basis and highlight key figures to the management as required.
Verify accuracy of invoices, review invoices for payment and ensure approvals accordingly.
Manage sub-contracts, invoices, RFIs and various tasks.
Contribute in preparing monthly reports.
Participate in the preparation of claims.
Ensure all related records, documentation and adequate filing system are maintained.
Respond to related document requests and various enquiries on a daily basis.
Perform other assignments as necessary to support the function/department
Ensure working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, risk assessment and environmental aspects.
