Business Development Manager - WECA

  • Develop in coordination with the region GM the overall business development strategy for the new markets & ensure the development of supporting strategies by the LOB.
  • Develop the annual business plan budget and targets for each new market identifying potential entry vertical.

Role Overview:
This position is responsible for the efficient operation of the following activities: Maintain all aspects of assigned financial account segments, including gathering data for preparation of detailed schedules and reports as required; Ensure that all assigned account reconciliations are completed monthly and any required corrections are completed in the current month; Examine a variety of recording and reporting documents to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government, or professional accounting requirements; Assist in preparing and filing of statutory accounts for Egyptian legal entities and branches on an annual basis; Support internal and external audits .
In the performance of the above activities, shall ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures. Comply with due dates associated with all assigned tasks, and give early warnings of problems with meeting these due dates.
Shall also ensure that candidate leads by example, promotes teamwork at every occasion, respects colleagues' opinions, openly contributes at meetings, does not accept status quo, and upholds fair and ethical behavior with customers in compliance with Bechtel's business ethics code.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, or related course study
  • 2-5 years of experience in a comparable accounting position
  • Must have legal right to live and work in Egypt without sponsorship
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of statutory accounting processes in Egypt
  • Able to interface at various levels of an organization
  • Intermediate skills in the areas of oral and written communications, project financial process controls, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel), accounts payable, general ledger (Oracle Financials R12) and billing

Principal Accountabilities:

Operate the School of Continuing Education (SCE), New Cairo Cashier
Collect cash, checks and credit-card payments from students and customers
Provide accurate information to referrals, walk-in and telephone clients
Provide and assure accuracy on all daily cash reports for collections and disbursements
Perform critical duties related to cashiering services as cash count and verifying custody
Help in updating The Student Information System (BANNER) with students' collections, refunds and scholarship information on timely basis
Deliver the checks of customers and suppliers
Cooperate with AUC various departments to solve students' financial problems
Answer customers' questions and provide information on policies and procedures
Perform any other related duties as assigned

The position of Resident Support Officer is a live-in professional who is the representative of the Residential Life administration and is the link between the residents, the student RAs (student resident advisors) & the Residential Life office. The responsibility of the RSO is to create an environment where students develop independence and learn to live supportively with others by providing service and programs.

The RSO must live in the University residences whether on-campus or off-campus and must be responsive and accessible 24/7. The position requires a university degree (preference is for AUC graduates) in any field and has at least 3 years of experience working with students. The RSO must be able to work independently, has excellent communication and leadership skills, some basic coaching and counseling skills, the ability to plan and implement activities and write detailed daily reports in English. Individuals in this position must have the ability and willingness to respond to crisis and emergency situations at any time.
