Senior DC's& Sales SHE Section Head
Main Purpose:

Implementing of all SHE policies & procedures across all the company's distribution centers, warehouses located in the plants fleet and sales.

Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for the implementation of all SHE policies & procedures across all the company's distribution centers (22 DC), warehouses located in the plants (4 Plants), fleet and sales (570 sales truck).
2.Act as business partner to the company sales directors to achieve the required SHE results without harnessing their sales performance.
3.Act as business partner to the group Logistics Manager to achieve the required SHE results in the DCs and the plants warehouses.
4.Budget owner for all DCs, warehouses and Sales expenses (OPEX & CAPEX)
5.Manage the new eREMS teams in the DCs, warehouses & Sales in addition to managing one of subordinates to transfer the SHE ownership across DCs, warehouses and Sales.
6.Managing two Subordinates "E01- SHE Senior Supervisor G09" & "DCs & Sales- SHE Supervisor G07" and also act as technical advisor for all eREMS teams.
7.Set the required Defensive driving training plans for all drivers, and ensure their attendance before hiring.
8.Audit and monitor the drivers performance each month and set corrective actions for any recorded deviation.
9.Support and manage the recertification's and surveillance external audits (OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001)
10.Conducting yearly strategic plans with the group SHE manager to comply with the coming 3 years road map for improving the SHE performance.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Experience: 7-9Years of experience in a similar field.
Languages: Good command of English language (Speaking, reading and writing).
Computer Skills:
MS Word Skills Intermediate
MS Excel Skills Intermediate
MS PowerPoint Intermediate
MS Outlook Skills Intermediate
Working Conditions:
Working Days: 6 Days/week [Saturday till Thursday].
Days Off: One day/Week [Friday]
Working Hours: From 7:30am till 04:00pm.

About the Role
You are responsible for optimizing sales, profitability and development of the Home Furnishing Business (HFB) to strengthen IKEA's position as the "Top of the Mind" home furnishing store in the local market, lead showroom co workers, provide support and develop them in order to create a strong and vital daily commercial drive in the showroom while ensuring the presence of the proven IKEA retail system (Tasks of the IKEA store).



Key Specific Accountabilities:

Operational

Ensure the store is in a pristine condition at all times and has a strong commercial basic level in your business area during all opening hours (4basics as per IKEA standard).
Together with the Com & In department you secure that the IKEA store provides a commercial range presentation in your business area and that customers perceive IKEA as a competent home furnishing specialist.
Plan and implement commercial calendar of the year.
Improve ease of shopping in the store by efficiently working with mechanical sale tools.

Commercial

Customers

Ensure that Showroom area is properly staffed with trained and qualified co workers during all opening hours
People Management and Development
Manage the selection, training and development programs for new co-workers
Participate in the recruitment and selection of the sales co-workers when vacancies arise
Ensure working methods, basic action routines and range information are understood and carried out in order to achieve objectives
Motivate the sales staff towards achievement of work objectives. Support the team to achieve their objectives by ensuring they understand the company business plan and objectives.
Be Train the Trainer for the department and ensure all the co-workers in the department are trained in Product Knowledge, customer service training, Concept training, H&S trainings
Act as Payroll administrator and be a super user for the Staff Management System and generate the schedules using the system. Monitor attendance of the sales co-workers and monitor sickness and other absences levels.
Provide the Showroom Sales Manager with feedback and their recommendations during the Probationary period reviews and annually reviews for the staff in the customer service department.

A. Supervision Received

Performs most assignments independently with instructions as to the general results expected. Receives technical guidance from Engineering Specialists or Supervisors on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed project plans.

B. Supervision Exercised

Provides technical direction and assigns work to subordinate engineers, designers, drafters, technicians and others who assist in performing specific assignments.

C. Contacts

Independently contacts vendor's representatives and project field personnel to gather or give information. Contacts client counterparts as directed.


Key Responsibilities:

Acts as the principal point of contact with the Project engineering team and Client counterparts.
Facilitates, coordinates and expedites Client input and reviews of techno commercial aspects relating to technology selection and market study activities and deliverables.
Facilitates, coordinates and expedites Client input & approvals on design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specifications for engineering, procurement or estimating use.
Ensures project goals and objectives for the project or assigned portion of the project are communicated to, understood by and adhered to by the Client.
Communicates design and procurement schedules to the Client and ensures adherence.
Coordinates the client reviews and approvals of bid analyses and recommendations for procurement of equipment material and services within Engineering's scope of responsibility.
Promotes/coordinates client engineering reviews.
Resolves any client-initiated questions on engineering.
Visits jobsite as required for exchange of information.
Facilitates the client review and approvals of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data book.

Assesses customer perception of engineering performance on a regular basis.
Plans, coordinates or prepares equipment or work specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations for equipment as assigned by Bechtel management.
Assists in the preparation of formal engineering communications to vendors and client.
Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
Performs or assists in the performance of problem analysis and original design.
Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.
Reviews and checks work before/after submission/return to/from the client.
Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required by Bechtel management
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work for a global business unit usually in one discipline in a project or staff group. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Bilingual (English & Arabic) – fluent in both oral and written communication.
Exemplary quality and safety record.
Ability to communicate well with customers, projects and supervisors.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university as well as a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Previous experience performing similar duties in an industrial environment.
Experience in delivering assigned tasks and working with multi-discipline teams of Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on a major EPCM project.
Knowledge of front-end activities including:
Feasibility
Studies and estimates
Value Improvement Practices
Demonstrated knowledge of project/study delivery including the roles/deliverables associated with engineering, procurement and project controls.
Broad understanding of the application of Engineering Department Procedures, relevant Bechtel design guides and the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
Understanding of engineering planning and control methods.
Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.
Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline.
Broad working knowledge of precedents in the specialty area, the principles and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating work with other technical disciplines.
Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of engineering techniques. Devises new approaches to technical problems.
Knowledgeable of and performs standard discipline engineering activities on projects of relatively small size and complexity within the business line with minimal technical oversight.
Coordinates technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews.
Provides technical direction for specific tasks and assigns work to subordinate senior engineers, engineers, designers, drafters or project sub-groups.
