Otlob is hiring Senior BI Reporting Analyst

Duties:

• Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data

• store/data warehouse/ data mart design and configuration.

• Assure quality of business intelligence by developing and enforcing standards for report

• development, testing, and deployment.

• Working with other stakeholders to identify the perfect and the most useful method for displaying the required output. e.g., dashboard, chart, filters.

• Transition developed BI systems to the Operations & Support team.

• Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users.

• Writing the SQL needed for business analysis "running the reports".

• Define the relevant KPIs for each report and build the report using the available data from the Data Warehouse. Reports can be shared through excel or through data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker).

• Provide cross training to other team members.


Job Requirements:

• BA in business/IT or any related field

• 4-6 years of experience as Data Scientist/ Business analyst / business intelligence officer.

•Google Analytics experience is a plus

HR Generalist opening in the Human Resources department, based in the Dubai office.

Job Title: HR Generalist

Business/Support Unit: Human Resources


Purpose:

Responsible for the delivery of Human Resources services and support to an assigned geographic region and offering HR country level support in line with the firm's policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the main HR contact for the employees in the assigned region, providing support for and resolution of HR related issues.

2. Support the centralized corporate payroll unit in managing the relationship with outsourced payroll agents; ensure all statutory deductions and employer liabilities are appropriately handled and all related documents and payments are made on a monthly or annual basis as required).

3. Participate in the annual HR budget: provide input on all possible expenses, recurring or new, for the assigned region.

4. Handle the search for and vetting of outsourced providers when needed (payroll, medical insurance, background checks, etc.) and ensure the services offered meet the firm's guidelines and standards.

5. Responsible for the on boarding process: ensure completion of the new hire set-up, paperwork, formalities, and coordinate with departments as required.

6. Conduct exit interviews and identify reasons for employee turnover to develop recommendations that improve retention.

7. Work closely with the L&D unit within HR to ensure all regulatory training requirements are met and provide assistance during the annual DNA cycle when required.

8. Assume full responsibility for local medical insurance plan, including conducting annual surveys externally and internally, making recommendations for enhancements/changes to the plan, handling employee issues, ensuring renewals occur in time, and premiums are properly calculated, distributed and communicated to the master keeper and payroll.

9. Maintain vacation records in coordination with the central vacations record keeping unit and participate in the compilation of the quarterly Vacations Report.

10. Maintain complete and comprehensive employee files in line with corporate HR guidelines and local statutory requirements.

11. Actively participate in HR projects and initiatives on a group level as assigned.

12. Conduct research, analysis and produce reports on various employment-related data.

13. Represent HR internally and externally appropriately and ensure the direct manager is duly updated on all local matters.

14. Maintain solid, up to date knowledge of current regulations and labour laws for the region assigned and disseminate information on relevant changes to the departments concerned.

15. Internal interaction may include (but is not limited to) Internal Audit, Finance, IT; external interaction may include (but is not limited to): payroll bank, medical insurance provider, social security, labour office, external auditor, and legal counsel.


Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

2. A minimum of 3-6 years' experience in an HR-related position, preferably with generalist responsibilities.

3. A genuine interest in HR.

4. Professional HR certification is preferred.

5. Able to work in a matrix environment with senior management.

6. Culturally sensitive; hands-on experience dealing with various cultures.

7. Excellent command of Arabic and English

8. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listing)

9. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.

10. Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.

11. Detail oriented; ensures deliverables are always of a high quality.

12. Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

13. Flexible in handling new tasks.

14. Self-starter; motivated and eager to excel and develop.

15. Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment

16. Manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritize tasks and workload.

17. Can work with remote teams.
