They play the lead role in understanding unit technology, reviewing unit changes, ensuring process safety, resolving process engineering issues, developing and implementing improvement steps, and educating relevant personnel. Job Role Responsibilities Sphere of Influence Internal: Immediate work group and interfaces from other disciplines Broadly Applicable: Common Skill Center, Capital Projects, Operating Assets Thorough knowledge of unit equipment, operations, chemistry, technology. Apply understanding of asset operations, and teamwork, communication and presentation skills to develop and deliver cost effective technical support within the individual's core discipline. Primary contributions will be at the individual contributor level in skill areas specific to the individual's current and primary job families. Broadly Applicable: Research and Research Applications Apply results of research through Research Application support to Business Units. Serve as an internal consultant to Business Units. Knowledge Transfer - Wisdom Sharing Document completed efforts such that others can leverage their work to enable efficient future similar efforts. Identify opportunities to improve work processes. Seek out mentors and networks. Skills People in this role should add Process Engineering functional skills relevant to their current work assignment to the default (""core"") ITM skills for the role, and should achieve Level 1 proficiency (or higher) in each of those added Process Engineering skills. Under strict supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Logging- While-Drilling (LWD) process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation and Quality Control (QC) and delivery of the services to the customer. Responsibilities are to learn the job role for the LWD service line. Serves as a thrid man in a sub-ordinate role. Provides technical and operational expertise to external customer. Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and measurement while drilling principles. Maintains equipment inventory and supervises movement to and from well site. Check equipment and advises repair requirements. Maintains computer database for on-going jobs, prepares job ticket, daily reporting and end-of-well reports. Skill acquired through completion of the basic M/LWD training program. Must have successfully passed company tests, or met task guideline requirements. Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards. Must possess good communication, arithmetic, data entry and recording skills. Requires ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data. Must possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
