Ledger Controller : Cairo : Closing Date December 7th, 2020 Duties & Responsibilities Support the Sales and Operations within the region producing actual monthly and annual results.
Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
Proactively analyse cost trends within P&Ls
Ensure all corporate reporting requirements are met according to business schedule.
Ensure timely, accurate and credible financial results and analysis, adding value to the business
In collaboration with key stakeholders, identify the drivers of activity and assumptions made during the planning cycle
Ensure and maintain data integrity
Work closely with the key stakeholders including business units' managers, finance team, operations and service to gain full understanding of cost base, absorption rates in order to drive efficiencies and reduce costs
Identify financial status by comparing and analysing actual results YoY, QoQ & MoM.
Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
Improve financial status by analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
Provide training to budget holders so that they understand key financial concepts.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Prepare presentations to help summarise budget results in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format.
In charge of the statutory accounts and working with external auditors.
Responsible of tax compliance and any other regulatory compliance with GAFI Qualifications
BA Commerce, Accounting + Professional certificate CPA or CMA
Experience 5- 8 years
Skills, Training Or Special Knowledge
Experience with multinational environment
Solid knowledge and practice of GAAP & IFRS
Strong Supervision skills
Strong communications and presentation skills
