Senior Backup and Storage Systems Engineer Job description About the Job Work closely with peer teams to deliver high availability and optimum performance for customers. Design, install, integrate, implement and support multiple varieties of Backup and Storage Zoning on IBM Brocade SAN Switches. Configure Hosts and Host Groups on Storages. Connectivity of Storage with SAN Switches and pSeries Servers. Knowledge of different SAN and SAN-Storage topologies. Creation of Logical Volumes (LUN) and mapping to Hosts\Host groups. Configuring and monitoring SAN replication. Troubleshooting of IBM SAN and analyzing event logs, and taking configuration backup. Analyzing controller load performance and monitoring the storage performance. Configuration mail alerts to mail recipients for any H\W failure for IBM Storages. Replacing failed Disks and any H\W. Backing up SAN Switch Configuration on FTP Server. Extending the Storage Space. Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and root cause analysis. Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members. Understanding of security standards including a working knowledge of SSH (Secured Shell). Experience in implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery options. Experience in enterprise storage SAN (Storage Area Network) architectures. Understanding of backup process, system monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery. Willingness to learn and adapt in dynamic environments. Team player and good troubleshooting skills. Job Duties And Responsibilities Creates, maintains and updates personnel files in complying with the Egyptian Labor law. Creates and revises Labor certificates / Labor forms, Social insurance forms / Social insurance letters.
