Starting date: 01.06.2022

Tasks:

Media review and analysis of daily political and public opinion updates in Egyptian press and
social media.
Liaise with HQ to provide regular media updates.
Management of the embassy's social media platforms.
Development and management of the Embassy's internal and external communication products
(Newsletter. etc.).
Monitoring and evaluation of the embassy's presence in social media.
Managing contacts with Egyptian media as well as with social actors.

Translation of media texts; partial replacement of the Embassy translation staff if needed

Requested Profile:

Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Excellent English and Arabic writing skills as well as oral skills. French or German an asset.
At least 5 years of working experience in diplomacy, international organizations or in NGOs.
In-depth knowledge of Egypt's political and media scene.
Ability to gather and deliver exact and relevant information under pressure of time.
Ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency and utmost discretion.

Job Purpose

Manager, Banking Operations (Trade Services)- Cairo, Egypt, Banking Operations

Responsibilities:

a) Provide professional input into the organization of a sound "documentary credit unit" to support the Bank's activities which will include but will not be restricted to the following components;
• Handling documentary credits including the opening, confirming, advising, negotiating and amending letters of credit;
• Handling documentary collections including incoming and outgoing collections and remittances as well as acceptances and avals;
• Issuing, amending, and liquidating all types of letters of guarantee (bid bond; performance; payment; standby and counter guarantees);
• Handling forfeiting, factoring and other trade related transactions;
• Develop and implement documentary trade business in the region by recommending new products and services and/or enhancement of new revenue pools;
• Handling modern loan administration and maintenance of loan books including processing payments/disbursements in line with approved terms, monitoring repayments/recovery, reviewing legal documentation to identify compliance and reporting obligations required for monitoring through the life of the facility and ensuring full loan covenant compliance and that all terms and conditions of the respective deals are adhered to;
• maintenance of correspondent banking relations;
• establishment of safeguards for the above activities including managing the Bank's physical strong-room, customer signatures and security documents; and
• maintenance of credit and collateral files, and credit enquiry as well as records of recovery efforts (except problem loans which move to Head Risk Management).
b) Management and operation of the "back office" as part of the automation process.
c) Coordinating and reconciling customer accounting system with the general ledger in Finance Department;
d) Preparing accounting and other reports for the information of Management.
e) Liaising with customers through the front office; and
f) Any other duties as may be assigned by Senior Management.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• First degree and post graduate degree in Business Administration, Banking Finance
or related field from a recognized University.
• A professional qualification in Banking especially a certification as a documentary credit specialist or similar qualification will be an added advantage;
• Sound experience of at least 8 years with a leading Banking organization;
• Ability to communicate and function in a culturally diverse and change oriented setting with good knowledge of banking practices in Africa;
• Ability to interact with senior officials of banks, corporates and governments;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of the Bank's other working languages is an added advantage (French, Arabic and Portuguese);
• The candidate must demonstrate experience and knowledge of managing back office operations in a fairly complex banking environment and show a good understanding of UCP 600; URR 725; and ISP 98 and relevant experience in issuing, amending and liquidating all types of guarantees (bid bond; performance; payment; and standby guarantees); and
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including ability to organize and manage human resources to attain goals

Customer Success Specialist

Principal Accountabilities:

This role may focus on some or all the accountabilities below, depending on operational requirements. Businesses serviced include but are not limited to: Global Commercial, these activities cover all Customer levels including Key Accounts and Platinum Customers.

Order Management:
Place, amend and orders, liaising with other service partners in LSC, OTD & Credit as required.
Provide change information of planned shipments to schedulers and scheduling admin team, particularly to VMI Customers.
Manage Delivery Status – take ownership of delivery status enquiries and troubleshooting; proactively tracking and Business Partners as required.
Delivery Schedule Support Service - proactively call out to Customer, to manage Delivery issues
Schedule standard and non-standard orders (packed product).
Process Returned Product.

Credit Management:

Debt Collection & Cash Allocation – Administer debt collection, including direct debit rejections, allocations, refund/write-off/write on management, Cash and non-cash security handling.
Block Order Management – Monitor open orders, review order status and action blocked orders.
Handle basic Customer credit enquiries.

Dispute Management:
Own the end to end Disputes process for Quantity, Pricing, Tax and Master Data Disputes. This includes logging of dispute, undertaking initial investigation and root cause analysis, liaising with key interfaces to resolve disputes. Close the loop with Customer on case outcome and confirm closure of case.

Feedback and Issues:
Manage Customer complaints feedback and compliments. Liaise with resolution owners, and other Service Partners as required. Close the loop with customers.

Lubricant Service Administration:
Provide basic Customer advice about the scope of the Lubes Analyst Play Book, escalate any consultative advice to Technical Helpdesk. Coach Customers on how to use the Shell Lubes Analyst systems when recording new machines and oil samples

Contract Management:

Work with Account Managers to provide pre-offer, offer and contract management support for standard and non-standard contract set up and maintenance, in compliance with the Offer Book.
Execute contract legal and fiscal requirements, working with local legal focals.
Follow-up directly with customers on missing contract documentation.
Ensure contracts are signed and stored in line with local country requirements.
Review contract performance as part of SCM process.
Own contract documentation archiving and termination of customer contracts.
Support preparing for tender bids.
Securing 100% Compliance.

Manage elements of the DFOA process:
Manage and monitor Customer & Distributor complaints mailbox through to resolution.

Ensure DFOA related ordering issues are visible and managed in accordance to service level agreement

Touchless Support and Setup:
Support and proactively encourage touchless uptake and utilization
Act as first level support for system interface errors
Act as a touchless setup lead in system-to-system setup with existing Customers (BCI, EID, OCR, EDI). Work with Customer IT teams to resolve issues and manage internal processes.

General Inquiries:

Handle New Business - Receive request for information or quotation from potential new Customers and connect them to the appropriate contact within Shell
Education Requirement/Field of Study: Bachelor's Degree

What we need from you

General Accountant

Ensures that the organization's accounting information and practices are accurately reflected. Verifies journal entries, and reconciles accounts.
